Zumba in Solihull

Updated: Aug 10, 2021

My love of Zumba started 10 years ago when I discovered this amazing style of exercise that involves dancing to Latin-inspired music.

After just one session I fell in love with Zumba and just knew I had to add it to the classes I was teaching, so I flew up to Edinburgh to undertake the only training available in this country at the time and came back fully trained to bring Zumba to Solihull.

Zumba classes help to get you fit through a range of alternating fast and slow rhythms which will improve cardiovascular fitness. It's accessible to all sorts of fitness levels and abilities, you don't have to get the routine exactly right - just join in with the beat and move your body!

As well as Zumba fitness classes, I also introduced Zumba Gold in Solihull for some of my more mature clients. Not only has this given them access to exercise that gets them moving their bodies, but a lot of my members have formed some fabulous friendships.

The Zumba Solihull classes I ran during lockdown were all online and I made sure that at the end of every class there was time for everyone to stay on to have a chat. Some members were totally isolated and said how much they enjoyed this interaction and how good it was for their mental health.

Now that lockdown is easing I know that some of the Zumba ladies have actually been able to meet up in person for a coffee, which makes me so happy to have been able to bring people together.

Over the last 10 years not only have thousands of members enjoyed my Zumba classes but it has also created an amazing Zumba family across Solihull, Knowle and Dorridge where some great new friendships have been formed. It was definitely the best decision I ever made in my career and I've formed some amazing bonds with my members.

So to celebrate my 10th anniversary I'm going to be running 2 extra special classes with some of our favourite tracks from over the last 10 years.

The classes will be Monday 21st June:

Zumba Gold, Dorridge Village Hall, 12:30 – 13:15

Zumba, Dorridge Village Hall, 20:10 – 21:05
